2018 SKIING WORLD CUP on the Kronplatz-Plan de Corones: January 23, 2018.After the great success of last year, the Kronplatz was once again selected for an FIS Alpine skiing World Cup race. On the Erta ski run in the Piz de Plaies area, the women will compete in the giant slalom event for important World Cup points. SNOWPARKIn the Snowpark area on the Belvedere ski slope, terrain modeling work has been carried out. This project called for a significant reduction in the amount of snow that is necessary for the snow park, consequently making it possible to put it into operation earlier in the season each year. Completion will already occur in the autumn of 2017, and thus all freestylers can look forward to a long snow park season.

SONNE CHAIRLIFTPerfectly in time for the beginning of the 2017-2018 winter season, the universally popular Sonne lift has been completely replaced and renovated.In order to take into account all of the demands as well as innovations concerning safety regulations, the new Leitner Ropeways six-seater chairlifts have been equipped with many new features. These include protective hoods, heated seats, single footrests, and child safety protection on every chair. Upon completion, up to 2,600 people per hour can be transported.
